The Artistic Style of Enrique Benet

A Fusion of Forms and Characters Benet's artwork is characterized by a focus on the subtext, with simple forms serving as a foundation for more intricate elements. He employs "characters" as a means to add drama, color, and emotion to his works, inviting the viewer to participate in a unique, personal experience. His style blends traditional themes with abstract and conceptual elements, resulting in a multi-dimensional, emotional journey for the audience.

A Colorful, Conceptual, and Abstract Approach

Shapes as Symbols: A Journey Beyond the Obvious Taking inspiration from Gilles Deleuze's concept of "multiplicities," Benet uses shapes as symbols that carry multiple meanings. By painting over these shapes, he creates an abstract experience that is both visual and mental. His artistic language is diverse, ranging from cubist or naive styles to expressionist or caricaturist approaches. This variability contributes to the vibrant, multi-dimensional experience he aims to evoke in his viewers.

Art as a Catalyst for Critical Thought and Reflection

Inspiring Deeper Exploration Through Art Enrique Benet believes that art has the power to inspire critical thought and reflection, transcending the immediate experience. By incorporating traditional themes and infusing them with abstract elements, Benet creates complex experiences that provoke emotions and engage viewers on different levels of consciousness. His work is a testament to the power of art in challenging us to explore multiple meanings and interpretations, whether through digital art, installations, or traditional paintings.

I like that my work seeks to be appreciated from different levels of consciousness. Discover what is not evident in the everyday. Try to find the meaning of existence in the hidden and secret values of human, spiritual, and animal life. Play with strong elements and figures, powerful lines, and without fear of error.

When painting, I make immediate decisions with the existing and most appropriate materials for each moment, space, and from the acquired level of consciousness. I paint for myself, not for third parties. It is a unique and personal experience because each painting says a lot about the moment I execute it.

Look at the present with the vision of the future, and not be afraid of the unknown or a blank canvas. Experiment without limits, even with the emotions of the audience who observes the work
